This website

hawserkit.com is a set of static files served by Cloudflare Pages. There is no database, no account and no login.

• No cookies are set by this site, and no analytics or advertising script is loaded. The content security policy on every page blocks third-party scripts outright, so this is enforced rather than promised.
• Cloudflare records standard server logs for the requests it serves: IP address, user agent, the path requested, timestamp and response code. These are ordinary web server logs, used to see how much traffic the site gets and to keep it up. They are held by Cloudflare under their own retention policy.
• Clicking the buy button requests /buy on this domain, which redirects you to our payment provider. That request appears in the same server logs as any other page view. It is how we count how many people reached the checkout, and it involves no script and no identifier of any kind.

Buying

The purchase itself happens on our payment provider's pages, not here. They collect what a payment needs (your email address, payment details, and the billing country required to charge the correct tax) and act as merchant of record. Their privacy policy governs that. We receive your email address and the fact that you bought, which is what a licence key and a receipt require.

We use your email address to deliver your purchase and to answer you if you write to us. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.

The app you download

• Activation contacts the licence API once, when you paste your key. It sends the key and receives back whether it is valid and the email it was issued to, which is used to stamp your copy of the kit.
• After that it does not phone home. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting service and no usage analytics in the app or in the kit it unpacks.
• Your key is stored in the macOS Keychain on your machine, not in a preferences file, and it never leaves it except to be validated.

The sample app

FocusTimer is downloaded as a plain file. No signup, no email address, no identifier. The download shows up in the server logs described above as a request for a file, and that is all.

Your rights

If you are covered by the GDPR or a comparable law, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. In practice what we hold is an email address attached to a purchase. Write to yaveez.dev@gmail.com and a person will answer.

Requests about payment records are best sent to our payment provider as well, since they are the merchant of record and hold the transaction itself.
